Experience & Background
Patrick Collier - Special Educator, Wellesley High School
For the past 20 years, I’ve dedicated my career to supporting students and families in navigating the challenges of education—especially when it comes to special education and executive skills development. For the last 14 years, I’ve worked at Wellesley High School, where I created a program designed to help students build confidence, strengthen executive functioning skills, manage academic stress, and communicate effectively with teachers and their parents—all while succeeding in rigorous academic courses that prepare them for college and beyond.
I understand how overwhelming the special education process can feel for families. My experience includes conducting and interpreting academic evaluations, guiding parents through the IEP process, and answering the questions that matter most. I also provide support in transition planning and college advising, ensuring students are set up for success in their next chapter.
In addition to my work at Wellesley, I’ve consulted with families and schools in highly respected districts such as Newton, Winchester, Duxbury, Needham, and the Boston Latin School. These consultations have included everything from IEP advocacy to helping districts design and improve student support programs.
My mission is simple: to empower students and families with the tools, knowledge, and confidence they need to thrive—both in school and in life.
